Description: Design development, coding, testing and debugging new software or enhancements to existing software. Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and develops specifications to resolve them. Resolves customer complaints and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Participates in the development of software user manuals.

Requirements: Experience building and supporting applications using Java SE 4-8 Experience working with Java Swing applications on Windows and iOS Deep knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, hSQLdb) Strong experience with HTML, Javascript, XML, XML Parsing Experience creating installations packages using InstallShield and/or InstallAnywhere Experience with source code control products (GIT, SVN, Perforce) Experience building and maintaining build scripts Experience with web services and PCI compliant environments Knowledge of reporting packages such as JasperReports a plus Knowledge of OMR scanning hardware/software a huge plus
5+ years experience in software engineering
Effective communication skills, ability to demonstrate concise and thoughtful correspondence
Strong problem solving, analysis, design and testing skills
Knowledge of software performance, scalability, maintainability, reusability and security
Experience working within an Agile Scrum environment

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
